Jacqui Pendleton

Contributor

Born in Ireland and educated in the UK, Jacqui Pendleton studied 3D Art and Design
(Ceramics) at Loughborough College of Art and Design, graduating with a First Class
BA (Hons). She was taught by many notable practitioners at the time, but the lecturer
who influenced her most was the ceramic artist Magdalene Odundo who taught her
the African coiling techniques that influence Jacqui’s work today.

Jacqui celebrates craft in her work, with each piece taking more than 30 hours to
form and refine. The surfaces of her work are inspired by natural textures and forms.
She has taught Art and Design in the UK and Guernsey for over 30 years and
founded EC Potters, a group of experienced local ceramicists.
