At the Exhibition, St Stephen's Church
Meet the Maker opportunities are available in the following slots:
Saturday 3rd October
10am until 12 noon - Maggie Le Conte
2pm until 4pm - Christina Stagg
Saturday 10th October
10am until 12 noon - Sophie Le Lievre
2pm until 4pm - Jenny Mahy
Maggie will be bringing her gouache paints to demonstrate small scale Medieval style painting with decorative borders on watercolour paper.
Christina will be bringing two egg tempera paintings - both of Pre Raphaelite angels - to show and talk about her painting technique.
Jenny will bring along a few pieces of her embroidery textiles and provide the opportunity for participants to have a go at some simple stitching, with a view to building them all into one large piece of work for a future event.
Sophie will be demonstrating her clay sculpting skills, bring each stage of her process alive from the design, to plaster and mould-making for interiors. She will be available for any questions technically regarding the craft and on inspiration for her current work.
